NEW RELEASE:

I am proud to have been a part of the team that produced this new White Paper developed by The Whole Care Network.

As one of the authors of this White Paper, I collaborated in a MASTERMIND GROUP focused on answering challenging questions about the juggle faced by millions of individuals between their careers and the care they provide for a loved one. The result of one year of work is this comprehensive document.

Aging In Place (Remaining In Your Home)

The home environment and setup can play a significant role in determining whether someone can successfully age in place (remain in their home as they get older). Making adaptations in the home and in the manner tasks are performed can enhance an individualā€™s ability to maintain independence, safety and overall quality of life as they age.

Family Caregivers (Caring for Spouses and Aging Parents)

Data reveals an increase in the number of family caregivers in the United States of 9.5 million from 2015 to 2020. Family caregivers now encompass more than one in five Americans. The study also reveals that family caregivers are in worse health compared to five years ago.

There are only four kinds of people in the world: those who have been caregivers, those who are currently caregivers, those who will be caregivers, and those who will need caregivers.ā€ ā€”ā€” Rosalynn Carter

OUR VISION

Our vision is a society where the valued aging/senior individuals can experience autonomy and fulfillment as they age in place for as long as possible in their homes and community, where family caregivers are empowered to provide support and care in a manner that also allows for nurturing their own well-being, minimizing overwhelm and burnout.
